Wouldn’t be all one way traffic. Young was very crafty. Close fight with Joe winning a decision after flooring Young in middle rounds. The knockdown makes the difference. These two will have sparred together in Philly also. They’re gonna know each other’s style. That situation makes for sometimes more boring fights.

I thought Young edged a past it and fat Ali and I never bought into the idea that Young was robbed against Norton. Still, he has the wins against Foreman and Lyle and a draw with a peak Shavers. Young was a darn good fighter but I don't like his style against Frazier when the lights are on and they are fighting for keeps.
I think Joe's lack of height and his pressure give Young lots of trouble and Young gets outpointed clearly.

Smokin' Joe Frazier's pressure would be key. Jimmy Young was a damned good fighter. But, can he sustain the pressure of Smokin' Joe for 15 full rounds?
