Quarry indeed had tough luck coming up in the time of Smokin' Joe. The peaks of Frazier and Quarry coincided.
Joe was just too much for Jerry. I really think those two fights contributed quite a bit towards Quarry's problems near the end of his life.

Agree. I still think that Jerry took way too much punishment vs Ken Norton also.
