Sorry to hear this.
I will always remember his three fights with Emile Griffith, especially the first one. MSG went crazy that night.
RIP, Nino.

Rest in peace, champ!
Nino Benvenutti was the most outstanding boxing Olympic Golf medalist in his own soil, in Rome 1960.
He was voted as the best boxer of the Olympic games that year ahead of Cassius Clay.
He started his career by winning 65 fights in a row. Lost his unbeaten record against Kim Ki Soo in an upset for the World Jr Middleweight Crown in 1966.
Where would you rank Nino at middleweight all-time?

RIP to a great Champion. I saw the 3rd Griffith fight and the Tiger fight (both at the Garden). Great bouts - great memories, thanks Champ.
