I agree that Virchis v Bidenko was a good heavyweight fight. He not good enought to be in top 10. Also Luan Krasniqi I dont rate he only drew with Timo Hoffman who is an average heavyweight with limited skills.
Sinan Samil Sam also not worth a place in top 10.

Samuel Peter has great potential deserves a place more than those 3 above. Also James Toney surely should be in there.

Top 3 cannot argue with really...
I would still have Wlad top 10...... Rahman top 5 with Golota probably

Luan has outboxed Sam. Toney must prove if he is a real good Heavy. A win vs the Wrestler will put him in a top ten. Peter didn´t beat a real good guy like Bidenko or Chagaev who are top 20 or 25 IMO. Diaz isn´t that good.

Golota is only a top 5 guy if he finally wins a title. If he would win vs Brewster he could make it to the top 5.

Wladi Klitschko needs an impressive win in his next fight to come back in the top ten. the last 2 years he wasn´t that impressive......

You can't argue with Valuev and Klitchko jnr in terms of potential at least. I suppose you have to have Brewster in there as well. I feel quite sorry for him in a way that everyone just thinks he's there for the taking. (Which will probably be quite right when he fights Galota.) One of the two will surely have to be dropped after the fight. (now I've said that it'll probably be a feck'n draw)

Have to agree with pasty tho, where's Audrey? IBU has him at #2, IBO's objective rankings has him at least #70 if not better. C'mon bubi, get a grip.

I have to agree with Bubi for once, Toney does not deserve a place in the top 10 by beating Booker (7 months ago) and Holyfield (18 months ago) - thats utter crap. If he beats Ruiz he'll go as high as 3 or 4 IMO.

But Sam was beaten by Gomez who lost to diaz who was knocked out by Peter. He much more potential than Sam imo

Gomez only lost vs Diaz because of his 2-year-Burger-King-diet...... Sam will be the man who will fight Vitali next. Peter is of course close to the top ten.

I don't think it's fair to say that Valuev deserves to be there based on what you think he can do and then disregard Toney based on the fact that you haven't seen enough of him at the weight.

In all of these things we aren't going to see the top 25 box off to find the best rankings, so some has to go on supposition - Sam Peter for instance has looked v impressive, arguably more so than Valuev. Granted the opposition wasn't much (in either case - Levin's a major talent waste IMO) but Peter looked to me to have more ideas than Valuev, although they're neither of them Ray Robinson.

Not picking on any particular call here, just a discrepancy in that these lists are inherently based on theory and there are evidently inclusions on potential, so to discount based on lack of proof doesn't make sense. It's like the argument that Hatton detractors and Hatton fans get into all the time.

1, 2 & 3 look alright, the rest...well, I won't say! Wladimir Virchis, who the hell has he beat, or for that matter, who the hell has any of these guys beat: Luan Krasniqi, Nicolai Valuev, Sinan Samil Sam, Wladimir Virchis? And no they don't gain any merit by beating one another as in the cas with Krasniqi and Sam. Sam Peter and Toney had beaten better heavyweights than any of those guys, very much including the very old and over the hill Holyfield! Valuev is the only fighter that has faced a decent name! Seems to me Gomez lost because he lost, that how boxing goes!

Toney in HW did even less than Danny Williams. If he beat Ruiz(and thats a very big "if"), he'll be number 2 in HW but for now he is number 1 in the big mouth rating.
