They fought at middleweight where burley dominated moore tho middleweight wasn’t Moore best weight or nether his peak so what if a peak moore 1948-1955 with this best weight light heavyweight fought against burley that fought doc Williams could Moore avenge his losses to burley?

Burley never really fought at 175, I suspect he knew it was a bridge too far for him. He has a few fights where his opponent weighed in as a Light Heavy, but they were usually subpar opposition, nobody near the caliber of an Archie Moore.
I think Archie is too strong for Burley at 175.
Did Burley pursue this fight? If he didn't that speaks volumes about what he thinks his chances would've been against a bigger, stronger and better Archie Moore.

I'm with you that even though Burley beat Moore at middleweight, the Old Mongoose at light heavyweight was a master and he would be too strong for Burley to handle at light heavyweight as Moore would get the better of Burley with good jabs and counterpunches to take a decision.

Tough fight. Moore was one of those fighters who obviously brought his punching power with him when he went up in weight. Archie takes the decision
