Has anyone heard of Brian Castano?

Has he retired? The knockdown in the Charlo fight three years ago was a bit eerie so maybe it spooked him out of the sport.

Nearly 36 and hasn’t fought in three years. Have to assume he’s done

Hopefully made enough money to live comfortably.

I wonder where he'd rank in an all time Argentinean list? Maybe around 20th, give or take a few.

There have been a lot of great Argentine fighters over the years. Maybe sneaks in the top 50 but his career was relatively short and he didn’t beat any top guys

I thought he narrowly won the first fight with Jermell and was hanging tough - but losing - in the second one. It's too bad he never fought again after it. In my opinion he was one of the best 154-pounders of the early 2020s, beating some top fighters (Soro, Teixeira, Omotoso, and Vitu) and drawing with Lara.

I agree. I also thought he earned a close decision vs Lara.
