Tua destroys Quarry. 3 rounds, maybe.

3 rounds, really? Can't see that. Quarry had a good chin. Nobody took him out that early. You never know what you are going to get with Tua. If he consistently puts on pressure, he has a good chance. However, at times Quarry boxed well and would be able to outpoint him. i,e. the Lyle fight.
Sometimes Tua was very lackadaisical (Lewis fight, Oquendo fight, Byrd fight) and Quarry would win a lopsided decision in that kind of fight.

I'm talking each man at his best.

Is that how you always do these? I don't. At his best I would pick Buster Douglas over almost anyone. I think we should go what is the most likely thing to actually happen.
There is a chance, Tua is aggressive. In that case, he has a very good chance. There is also a good chance that he looks to throw one big left hook each round (which usually misses), does almost nothing and loses a lopsided decision.
Would you actually bet on Tua winning this fight? I wouldn't.

Either Quarry to outbox Tua by countering him with jabs, right hands and left hooks to take a decision or Tua stops Quarry late by cut eye stoppage after nailing him with big left hooks.

When responding , I assume each man at his peak, but sometimes I'll post a novelty like 1951 Louis versus 1981 Ali.

Jerry Quarry was a fast starter. He could punch, but David Tua isn't going anywhere. Tua, a slow starter catches steam by the 5th round and starts chopping up Quarry by the minute.
By round 10, a wilting but courageous Quarry is all blooded by Tua's hooks. Tua by knockout in 10 rounds coming from behind to win.

I'd favor Tua to stop Quarry in the 8th or 9th round in a fight that's dead even up to that point.
