I'd take Ward.

Stylistically, Ward can successfully replicate what Hopkins did well against Joe back in 2008. But unlike Bernard (who fatigued down the stretch), Ward of 2011-2012 wouldn't have tired. And would've clinched a decision.

Speaking about the decision, the location of the fight could've played an important factor here.

Ward wouldn't have gone to Wales. Calzaghe wouldn't have agreed to fight in Oakland.

Both had a successful Vegas experience. So, probably, it would've landed in Vegas. My guess is Ward would've gotten the benefit of the doubt there. The decision would've ranged from 7-5 to 9-3.

Ward or Calzaghe in a SD type situation or Ward by TKO nutshot/various other fouls causing late stoppage are all possibilities.
