At their prime, it would be a toss-up with either man would take a close decision. However, if Thomas fought Young who was past his prime, he would out-jabbed him along with left hooks and right hands to take a decision.

At their best, I would also lean towards Young. Would be Compettiive.

Jimmy Young could potentially beat anyone, but he could also could potentially lose to any one for the same reason. He's hard to hit, he's not very effective offensively. Almost every fight he's ever in is close. This one would be no different. It could go either way.
I'd lean toward Thomas ever so slightly.
