I believe we're still two good weeks away from when Nevada State Athletic Commission announces officials for Canelo-Crawford bout.

But just to fantasize beforehand - who'd you choose to officiate this fight?

Judges might be a factor in this one, of course.

Judges are always a factor in Canelo fights.

We’re in Vegas: so gonna get the usual ones we get there probably.

Yes, very likely. I just wonder whether Nevada State Athletic Commission will be open to go for a wider pool of judges, for this particular fight? Will they use some international judges, as they do frequently in Saudi shows?

The last I checked, international judges like Guido Cavalleri (Italy) and Benoit Roussel (Canada) are licensed in Nevada and have worked in this State in recent years.

But more likely we'll see familiar names like Tim Cheatham, David Sutherland and Steve Weisfeld.

Make Adalaide Byrd the sole judge. Robert Byrd as ref

Adalaide's already got her card filled out, so she's good to go.

Mayweather beat him by decision in Vegas
Bivol beat him by decision in Vegas
Lara gave him a run in Vegas
GGG went 1 draw-2 losses all by decision in Vegas
In terms of big fights against quality opposition, Canelo has done ok
But there's those of us that think timing among other things lean Crawford's way
Styles make fights and sometimes age can make them too

Not in terms of wear and tear he isn't

I'd say they're on about equal terms there. It's not as if Canelo has ever taken a horrific beating even in fights he lost.

Can't go along with that
You can't tell me Crawford and Canelo have taken equal punishment, that's what I mean by wear and tear

Well Crawford did have about 30 more amateur bouts than Canelo so that's something. Canelo has gone through the grind of more big fight training camps, and all the sparring and physical wear and tear that comes with all that.

I think Crawford being 3 years older and the smaller man makes it all a wash though for the most part.

I get you :TU:
A rejuvenated Canelo and a safety first Crawford
I can see the conflict of picks
