The best (most depressing) part about it is if Tyson wins the WAA belt, people will be calling him the champ and shit.

Hey, don't knock it. "After defending the WAA title for 12 months the champion will be granted an opportunity to fight for the [prestigious] IBU championship. This gives the champions of the WAA incentive...to move up to the next level."
Anyway, Tyson won't be able to fight for it. You have to have "No history of mental illness."

I thought that was a prerequisite

Colossal - Pukall's first 8 victims had a combined record of 0-26-0; since beating the mighty Frank Böhme not just once but TWICE in a row, Mean Gene's 10 victims have had a combined record of 18-61-0.
On the other hand, every time Gene the Machine has been in with someone that had a winning record he's lost - except vs. 2-1 Enrico Merkel, where he squeaked out a draw.
Call me crazy but you know, I think Tyson might just have a chance of beating this guy.

I actually have footage on this guy, where he loses in 1 round to the immortal Thomas Sorensen. I'm curious how much extra hits his boxrec record generated because of this "press announcment"

Hey that's a funny bug in the forum software!
When you type Steffen Nielsen it's automatically transformed to Thomas Sorensen
Thanks for correcting me Frei, just make sure you don't mix up John Held and John Emmen :)

WHAT IS THE WAA TITLE FOR FCUKS SAKE.
Do you think tyson means it? that makes a williams rematch look appatising by comparison.

So the promotor paid $2250+ in sanction fee + $850 for the belt + supervison ref ect, and there were 2 WAA fights in the card, someone got too much money.

Well if they got 2,000 through the door, it seems like they can afford it

I don't quite understand exactly how they got 2000 through the door, and 'another 1500 refused tickets'.
Has this guy traced his family tree sideways?

WBC charges 3% of the purse (Not sure if it's 3% of the champs or 3% of combined)
So guys who have more than one belt are paying out the ass....
Imagine having to pay $800,000 for "sanctioning fees"
fornicate the sanctioning bodies in the ass with a burning hack saw.
