Just watched Lucas Browne and Kamil Sokowaski both fights on the Bristol Brawl card on YouTube.

You know I think along with other fights on that card, how entertaining, if that's the right word the fights were.

So is this BKB business going to be seeing more individuals cross over, officials and the likes of Big Mo?

Can’t see it being bigger than normal boxing

No chance for me. It’s not very high level and it’s typified by older ex pros doing well in it. I watch it all the time and am a fan but boxing will always be more popular for me.

Depends really, not amongst proper boxing people but the casual/general combat sports fan who wants to see KOs and bloody brawls probably yeah.

It's already been around for near a decade now, and it feels like it's settled into a niche that's smaller than the small niche that Boxing already is.

It is to Boxing, what a Monster Truck rally is to Nascar. It kinda comes across on TV like "Trailer Park Boxing" because they can't get anyone to compete in it, that isn't just some dingus from Kentucky or Mississippi or whatever

The Fights aren't boring I'll grant you that, but it just kinda makes me uneasy because it feels like it's brutal violence for the sake of brutal violence with little or no skill on display. It doesn't feel like a sport, it feels like a carnival sideshow, and even regular ol Boxing has enough of that on it's own

No, it seems like it's just a bunch of has-beign scrubs trying to get a paycheck entertaining a bunch of roofers and brickies who want to see a fight and go with "the lads" to see this because there's no actual boxing on or boxing is too expensiver.

Based on the fact that they have to be past their best at proper boxing before entering BKB, obviously not.

Could any BKB fight be as big as Crawford v Álvarez?

It is quite possible that some local BKB shows do better than a local boxing show.

Nothing has even been close to that big in BKB. Hopkins vs Chad Dawson was probably bigger than most BKB events.

I don't know what kinda views or interest they get, but I'd have to assume it's pretty small, and i can't see any way it ever gets bigger.

Former WBA heavyweight champion Lucas Browne marked the start of a new chapter in savage fashion as he defeated Corey Harrison on his Bareknuckle Boxing debut.

The 46-year-old Australian powerhouse, who signed a multi-fight deal with BKB, showed there’s still plenty of fight left in him by producing a destructive victory at BKB 45.

BKB themselves summed it up best, posting: “From the smile on his face, Lucas Browne loved every moment of his Bare Knuckle debut at BKB 45. This is what he lives for. It’s just the beginning of his journey with BKB, and he’s already off to a hot start.”

The Quest for Two-Time World Champion

Despite setbacks, Browne never wavered in his love for fighting. Now, with bareknuckle rules in place, he has found a new stage to unleash his power.

Browne, never one to shy away from a bold statement, laid out his intentions in a typically no-nonsense fashion after the win.

“I want to be a two-time world champion (in boxing and bareknuckle). Why the f** not?”*

A bloodied Harrison proved how game he was in the after-match by saying, “Throw me into the depths of hell and you will still see me smiling.

“There’s no man on God’s green earth that I would refuse to fight. Win, lose, or draw, I f***ing love this game. 99.999999% of men need not apply.”

Having already scaled the boxing summit once, Browne now wants to write history all over again in one of the sport’s most unforgiving arenas.

Big Daddy is back, and this time, there are no gloves.

I watched the Browne fight and he will do well in BK, it’s never to surpass boxing but it does have some attraction for me albeit its ageing fighters and can’t be good for the health at any age.
