Hulk Hogan writes letter to Roy Jones about chickens??

Boxer ROY JONES JR has hit back at HULK HOGAN after the wrestling legend wrote to him demanding he give up cockfighting.

Animal rights activists THE HUMANE SOCIETY asked Hogan - real name TERRY BOLLEA - to write Jones the letter, in he which urged the boxer to stop supporting the cruel sport.

But Jones Jr - who attracted the attention of The Humane Society after purchasing a cock-fighting pit - has ignored animal-loving Hogan's plea.

He tells website PAGESIX.COM, "Hulk Hogan should walk in a man's shoes before he judges him. As a kid, I learned how to condition my chickens and will never change what I do or believe.

"Examine your own house before you examine mine."

**** Do people not realise that chickens are killed every day for their meat. If I was a chicken I'd rather be a fighting chicken than a farmers chicken ready to be killed for my meat.

Slightly off topic but interested to know what people think of Roy's chicken fighting?

True chickens are killed everyday, but that said..if you had to die....would you rather have your head quickly lopped off, or be ripped slowly to pieces with blades and left to die...?

I'd go for the former (personally)..though cock-fighting isn't a subject I feel too strongly about really. Chickens barely have brains anyway I don't think (and I used to work on a chicken farm)

I visited my friend Juan Carlos Ramirez in Juarez and he laid on a cock fight for me. At first I was a typically European sentimentalist "I don't want to see this, however he has gone to all this trouble" but I ended up really enjoying it.
I would definitely go to another one given the chance (very unlikely)

I remember watching a Sky Sports feature on Jonea a few years back when they went to Jones house and he defended Cock fighting then saying it was done by his dad and he was always around it. I suppose if you are reared into a thing than you cant really see the wrong to it but I wouldnt be a fan of Cockfighting.......Although I did pay to watch Hopkins - Morrade Hakkar

Somebody get his coat

Yeah I remember that, Roy was like, "You can't MAKE a chicken fight... all you can do is train the ones who DO want to fight... the chickens are just like me".

Sounds like a load of cock and Bollea. Jones is taking a lot of drumstick for this, if he wants to fight chickens, hen let him.

Didn't take Hogan as an animal rights campaigner. I'd prully go with loftgroov with the humane thing, but anyway. Maybe the cocks want to fight. Is there an undeafteated heavyweight cock out there? Sorry Riddick, I mean undetweeted

Ooh, some rather fowl puns there, RB - I don't fancy your chances of winning an, ahem, Pullet Surprise with that kind of sloppy punmanship. Keep that up and you'll risk getting your neck wrung instead. :-?

And now, I must fly - feeling a bit cooped up, and don't want to cause a flap by hanging around too long.

For the 'excellent puns' thread, look no further than Mark Rench. I was laughing like an imbecile, in the middle of the library, when reading that one. http://www.boxrec.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26543 It started as toolbox puns, then graduated to gardening appliances mixed with building equipment/materials

Puns- the highest form of wit

They could put wires on Hogan so Roy could throw him out of the ring. :TU:

Not even all the steroids in the world would give him power against Hogan lol.

I feel that eating chickens and making them fight is different though. There killed instantly when there doing it for food so there not getting tortured to death and in pain for ages.

With Cock fighting there slowy getting ripped to pieces and have the pain for longer and they don't even use the dead chickens for food though.

I've been to a few chicken fights and they were fun to watch, which might have had something to do with all of the alcohol consumed beforehand, but I'm sure I would have a different view if it had been a couple of pit bulls going at it, that I would find cruel!

Yes, even 'cock fight' conjours up some revolting images...

"And now Hogan slaps Jones Jnr in the head with his massive 12 inches, but wait Jones is becoming erect by looking at pictures of Derrick Gainer, he's stabbing the Hulk in the midriff with his steel shaft"

Celebrity Deathmatch could have a field day!

Remind me - did HH's letter say "fighting" or "biting?"

These animal rights folks probably have RJJ feeling a bit henpecked.
