Herbie Hide vs. Francesco Damiani

12 (or 15) Rounds Heavyweight Bout
In the battle of former WBO Heavyweight champions, Hide would outbox Damiani behind his quick jabs and combinations on the outside to either take a decision or stopping him late. What do you guys think and who do you got?

Damiani on points for me. Francesco is very underrated on these boards IMO.

The only fight I ever saw him in was against Ray Mercer. A fight where he was winning. He went down from a punch to the nose, and stayed down.
One half decent punch, and he went down for the count.
The guy had no heart. That's why I don't think highly of him. He had ability, but no heart whatsoever. So you don't even have to be a better fighter to beat him.

Wasn't Duane Bobick a decorated amateur too? Sometimes amateur credentials doesn't translate to the Pro ranks at the highest level.
