I can't see why he is so highly rated - #1 by WBC. Can anyone explain. How would Haye fair with him in a fight or two?

I think Haye should fight Hobson, fight for Hobson 2 belts & if Haye wins Hobson is higher in the WBC rankings, not a bad move me thinks

Maybe I've just got my head in the clouds, but I think Haye's doing allright. Questions over his last opponent but he still looked ok on paper. I think Haye has a huge banging potential (that's a technical term) and a lot of talent. Although I'd like to see him go 12 rounds, I think he may as well see how high his talent goes. If he can take out Cunningham, there you go, he's rated top #10 at least by all bodies. If not, then maybe he's not that good.

i agree jomo, dont think you can slate haye when he was willing to take on Carl in his 10th fight.

He needs to be fighting durable guys, not blown up light heavyweights he is always going to knock out light heavies in a couple of rounds and thats not going to teach him much.

I think beating Cunningham will leave him in limbo as he hasn't really done the rounds yet to be competing at that level once he's there. I think they should put him in with some reasonable heavyweights who cant really bang much. Get him 8-10 rounds on a regular basis.

Kudos to him for taking on Thompson so early, but if he gets in the same situation again how will he know how to pace himself if he keeps blowing away fighters in a couple of rounds.

I think Hobson is the right direction to take, i hope he doesnt go for the WBU belt even though a haye enzo figth is quite appealing

Haye v Enzo would be a fantastic showdown for the summer. Couldn't think of many domestic match-ups to top it.

As bad as it might sound, I'd like to see Haye do at least six rounds with Paul Bonson or someone as durable. I think Haye is in danger of running before he can walk again.

He certainly should be thinking of British title first. All this bullsh1t about our Cruiserweights not wanting to fight him doesn't wash with me.

He pulled out on Swaby in an eliminator (or so I understand) so taking that course of action may prove problamatic in challenging for the British title, and therefore, seems to have squandered a good opportunity to MAKE boxers face him and also get more valuable experience.

the BBBoC have mandated Haye as Hobson Mandatory

I'm not saying Bonson is the best possible opponent, but Haye needs to be taken into the later rounds.

I know Bonson may seem a ridiculous choice, but I think there's every chance he could provide David with a better workout than some of the continental opposition that has been brought over.

Bonson is probably more reliable too (by that I mean he'll turn up on the night).
