Does Las Vegas still have fight on?

I'd love to take my grandson to Vegas for a weekend to see a fight. Anything up and coming in 2026?

I check for Vegas scheduled fights on a regular basis - nothing yet for 2026. My first Vegas fight was Ali-Quarry back in 1972 and have been hitting Vegas 4-5 times a year from the East coast ever since.

I might suggest a few things. If possible get to Vegas a few days early.
If the card is on a Saturday night try to get there by Wednesday or Thursday, the grand arrivals of the fighters and the open workouts are free and are lot of fun to watch in person - great opportunities to get pictures.

Attending the weigh ins is also fun - lots of things going on and tons of fellow boxing fans to interact with. Over the years I have met some incredible people at weigh ins who have become lifelong friends.

When bouts are at smaller venues (Cosmopolitan, the Virgin, Westgate) ticket prices to sit close are very reasonable and sight lines are fantastic. Bouts at the major venues (T Mobile, MGM Grand Garden, Mandalay Bay) tend to have the bigger name fight cards so prices are higher but if you book tickets early it is possible to get the first row of the upper level and the views are very reasonable.

When Canelo fights in Vegas it is a true experience - the vibe is incredible and the weigh in draws thousands to Toshiba Plaza - definitely worth the high price for the card and weigh in experience. Check out the YouTube video of Canelo's ring walk for the Charlo card (music was by Sante Fe Klan) to experience the vibe of his Vegas cards.

I really enjoy the smaller venue cards, the Canelo experience is worth the extra spend. Either way your Grandson is going to have a blast!

Not officially scheduled:
De La Hoya and another connected boxing official told BS the popular Southern Californian Garcia 24-2 (20KOs) is finalizing negotiations to fight WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios 29-2-2 (18KOs) in Las Vegas with a target date of February 21.

Andy Cruz vs Raymond Muratalla January 24 show at Las Vegas' Fontainebleau (north of Wynn on the Strip). Fontainebleau is a a newer and very elegant casino and property, never seen a card at Fontainebleau, not sure of the venue size, seating and sight lines. Will investigate.

Yep. In addition to losing much of their Canadian visitors, a lot of people are just skipping Vegas as they started getting really greedy.

As gambling revenue went down (due to reservation casinos open everywhere now) they had to look for ways to make that revenue back so hotels now charge $20 or more a day for parking at the fornicating hotel you've already booked a room at. That's just one example.

But I reckon 2026 will see them get a bit more sensible again.

Anyway, there's Muratalla v Cruz on Jan 24th at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. That should be a cracking fight.

Might go to that fight, it's on my radar
Was thinking Stockton Ca for the Pacheco fight but Muratalla v Cruz falls on NFL Conference Final weekend so that's more appealing

I found that the fight tickets in Las Vegas and LA are way higher than in Texas and Arizona
The arenas in the south are really good, smaller but a good size and better atmosphere

Tickets for Jan 24 Las Vegas Cruz-Muratalla card on sale now and going fast - prices very reasonable. I looked at the venue via hotel website and it looks small like the Virgin and Cosmo so any seat will be good.
Will be in the elevated section 303 row A seat 12 - stop by and say howdy.
