Scouse UFC fighter Paddy Pimblett has been given an interim lightweight title shot in the UFC against veteran Justin Gaethje. Fair to say the UFC have manipulated the rankings and manoeuvred Paddy into the top 5 justifying an interim title shot against the “softest” option in Gaethje.

Pimblett Topuria makes huge commercial sense for the UFC, and a win against Gaethje will increase the marketability of a fight with Topuria in the US.

If Pimblett beats Gaethje it wouldn’t surprise me one bit to see a fight between him and Mcgreggor mooted for the Whitehouse event
