As for the others, Wardley BARELY beat his last two opponents, credit for the wins but he's a level below Usyk. Kayabel is tough but also clearly a level below.

He’s called out Wilder because his management team have seen an opportunity to make a voluntary defence, then looked at who makes them the most money. A Wilder fight in the US (more than likely) ticks financial boxes and also gives Usyk more US exposure.


The guy has had 375 contests over the last 23 years winning everything as both an amateur and a pro. He’s said in interviews boxing is like a drug to him that’s why he trains constantly and studies opponents and potential future opponents.

Look at what the bloke has done recently, he can fight who he likes. But personally I’d rather see a losing Parker get a bout than a winning wilder….depending how these p.ss tests turn out.
