Any evidence it was a legitimate win for McGovern and not a fix ?

- McG was a KO specialist in the era of non punchers in No Decision fights. The film is clear.

McG catches him early leaving Gan's legs semi paralyzed, a sitting duck for the finish. Gans lost to worse fighters than McG, but if we want to carp about all the fights of this era, we could say most were fixed almost always absent any proof.

Unfortunately McG was too mentally unhinged for a long career...c'est la vie...

No doubt, the film shows Gans getting hit with an absolute bomb. Why, then, the ban on boxing in Chicago for many years that was attributed to the McGovern-Gans fight being a fix ? ALso, McGovern was quoted after the fight as saying the fight was a "square" fight, as far as he knew .
