Today, one of boxing's pound per pound greats has one more year of life. I am talking about the happy-go-lucky and gap-toothed all-time great from Mexico City, Mexico, Ruben "El Puas" Olivares!
Also known in the boxing world as "Rockabye Ruben", Olivares is 79 years old. He was a two-time World Bantamweight and a two-time World Featherweight Champion. He brought 4 world titles to his country. One of Mexico's most beloved champions that thrilled the Inglewood Forum with great fights with Chucho Castillo, Bobby Chacon, Alexis Arguello and Danny "Little Red" Lopez.
