Good Danish bill springs two surprises.

A good Danish bill has just ended (I hope it gets shown on delayed or I might buy it from that Danish poster who sells tapes). Two upsets, one of which might have some significance to a British fighters fortunes.

Has Mario Veit improved? Most people say yes because he looked okay vs Brewer - but how shot is Brewer now, he has just lost via a 10th round TKO to former David Haye (and Mario Veit) victim Lolenga Mock.

Steffan Neilson has suffered his second loss via a 3rd round KO to the unhearalded George Arias. I wonder what this means for the British fighters - wasn't Neilson supposed to be involved (along with Cenzig koc) in a potential match with Michael Sprott for the EU title.

Britains' Tony Booth went the distance but ultimately lost on points to Johny Jansen over 6 rounds at Cruiserweight.

Other familar names included world ranked Thomas Damnguard and the recent challenger to Steffano Zoff, Martin Kristiansen (who I was quite impressed with vs Zoff) both of whom scored wins. Damnguard beat former Miguel Cotto and Stephen Smith victim Rocky Martinez via a TKO in 6. The light punching Kristiansen got extended but beat Mohamed Benbiou on points over 6 rounds.

That Brewer result stuck out for me as soon as I saw it. Kind of made the Calzaghe rematch even more uninteresting than it was already (if that's possible). I actually may not even watch it.

Freiheit: did you see the Brewer fight? How did he look compared to the Viet match?

I only saw the 4 last fights on the card, but got all on tape.
Steffen Nielsen got KOed by a liver shot. He retired after the fight
Damgaard looked like he did in the "old" days, very good sign for the future.
Mock outboxed Brewer, I had it 7-2 for Mock after 9 rounds. Mock pressured Brewer too much. The fight reminded alot like Veit vs Brewer, Mock was close to Koing Brewer in the first round. Mock will return on the next Team Palle card on june 10th.
Best fight on the card was Reda Zam Zam vs Christan Bladt for the danish lightmiddleweight title. The commentator called it the best fight on danish soil in many years.

Overall there were alot of good fights on a card that looked weak on paper, and its good to know that Team Palle now have got a long range TV contract after being without a TV contract for over 2 years.

Nice one, will look out for that lightmiddle fight, hopefully it gets shown on Eurosport.

That Mock - Brewer fight sounds like it has confirmed my fears of Viet.

I would be a little surprised if Nielsen really does retire, especially if it was only a single shot that stopped him. He could probably make quite a few healthy paydays yet.

mock at 168 is a real handful for anyone in the world...

I have heard some great things about this Reda Zam Zam character....

Mock got the fight wedensday so I think he might be able to make at least 160 if he wanted to.

Mock seems a road warrior. Anyone seen his fight with Viet? I'd imagine Viet used his height and reach to stop him getting close..

Mock used to make 160 (1999) so probably still can, may not be as effective at the weight though
