I noticed a while back that Boxrec removed all WBA titles, past & present, from documented contests.
While I consider the WBA the biggest laughing stock of the 4 main recognised bodies (and they had stiff competition), I'm interested to know what was the final straw that broke the camel's back ?
The "Super" champion invention was what did it for me, but the deletion of their existence on Boxrec came later.

It was always a preposterous idea from the WBA. Throw in the interim champion nonsense too and there could be 3 WBA "world" champions at any given weight

The organizations don't do it because having only one "world" champion in each weight class would be logical and make sense - but not cents. I actually follow the sport and still have to think about who is the "real" world champion for some of the alphabet organizations, even when looking at a list of their world, super, regular, interim, and in-recess champs.
