Difficult to judge active undefeated fighters vs fighters from the past (there is usually a recent bias), especially in Jai’s case because he has been destroying nobodies for a while. Jones’ skill set and size makes him difficult for anybody and he had a good chin, so I’d probably go with Jai by decision, but it wouldn’t be easy

id guess jai would win a close decision where he is holding on at the end, something like 114-113, 115-112. probably quick enough and busy enough to score just enough points, but jones was a bit of a freak with his combo of size (insane that a big cruiser used to fight at 154), chin, and stamina. he would put it on jai in the 2nd half

when it comes to gjones-lebedev, people remember leb's freak eye the most, but often forget that jones took an absolute sh1t ton of clean punches from a good puncher throughout that fight and just smiled back at him like it felt good. one of the most freaky chin showings ive seen

jai's unfortunate though, cuz i really do rate him and was one of the few to pick him to beat briedis the first time. he took a huge step up and delivered...like the champ we want. but then aside from briedis hes pretty much gone on an absolute mediocre run fit of a paper champ

That Lebedev-Jones fight was a crazy war
