Benitez over Cervantes is unique for being a record that likely will stand for a long, long time to come, but Cervantes isn't a bigger opponent to have beaten than Duran is.

All great, but yeah, there's something special about a teenager beating a champ like Cervantes which elevates that particular fight.

BTW, I think Benitez was W15 over Duran, not W12.

Tend to agree, though had it been 15 rounds for the title then De Jesus' win would have even more impact.

Wilfred Benitez win over Antonio Cervantes is still mind-boggling. Imagine a 17 year old boy beating a 30 year old grown man. And a good one at that.
