To me, it will always be Muhammad Ali vs Joe Frazier.

Would have to agree. Though there were other great series where the fighters fought even more often.

Ali-Frazier speaks was of course awesome. And the second fight is very underrated.

For heavyweights, Bowe-Holyfield was probably second.
In other weight classes, Barrera-Morales and Griffith-Benvenuti were awesome. Many other good ones.

There’s quite a few that had more than three fights that were great of course.
Ted Kid Lewis - Jack Britton
Robinson-Lamotta etc.
the black murderers row fought each other constantly.
As far as trilogies go ,
Zale-Graziano
Ward -Gatti

The Minter-Finnegan trilogy.
All with the British Middleweight title on the line and you couldn't put a fag-paper between them but Minter got the nod in all three.

Zale vs Graziano is the one I think we all wish we had in its entirety on video. Based on all reports Fights 1 and 2 were as insanely entertaining as any Middleweight Championship bouts ever held, and the 3rd fight is about the same just half as much of it.

We have the 3rd fight thankfully at least.

Ali vs Frazier is about as important and prestigious as it gets, and Fights 1 and 3 are absolutely amazing.

Barrera vs Morales fights 1 and 3 are amazing.

Gatti vs Ward the first fight was the best, but at least 1 or 2 rounds of all 3 of their fights had unbelievable excitement.

If Rafael Marquez and Israel Vazquez hadn't fought a 4th time they would've been in this conversation too because their first 3 fights were all absolutely fantastic.

How about Jimmy McLarnin vs Barney Ross?
Roberto Duran vs Esteban De Jesus
Carlos Ortiz vs Ismael Laguna
Ruben Olivares vs Chucho Castillo
Humberto "Chiquita" Gonzalez vs Michael Carbajal

If you want to see a lot of knockdowns, then it's Floyd Patterson vs Ingemar Johansson trilogy.

Ali vs Frazer :box: Probably would never been surpassed. I like GGG-Canelo from more recent ones :box:

There is footage of fight 2, albeit brief and hand held cam

Pacquiao-Marquez, Charles-Walcott and Pep-Saddler are right with Marquez-Vazquez, as well. We just don’t have them all in their entireties.

Not saying it was the best ever, but the Fury Wilder trilogy had a bit of everything.

I enjoyed their bouts. Going in i don't think anybody expected their 3rd bout to be the best of their series but it wound up that way. Every fight offered up something we didn't quite expect.

Apart from the knockdown, the first one was a snoozefest.

Ward-Gatti were fun to watch. neither were close to being great fighters. But they were relatively even in ability, and both gave it their all.

- I'd say Greb vs Flowers. They were both physically mature as well as so evenly matched that they both passed prematurely not long after their last fight...R.I.P...
