I am highly impressed with Fabio Warley.

He has proved me wrong time and time again with his performances ... now he inpresses as a pundit.

What do you think??

Seems like a sensible guy. Has done well to be champ. He is clearly a smart guy outside the ring as you have to be to get where he is with the limited talent he has. As far as heavyweight champs go, he is perhaps in the top 5-10 of worst ever in my opinion but the fact is that he is heavyweight champ and nobody can take that accomplishment away from him.

A big shout, mate. I personally see him as a modern day Marciano. That's NOT to say he's at Marciano's level. Just that he reminds me of him in that he overcomes his lack of skills with an abundance of will & attitude. Plus a decent wallop.

But we all have our own opinions & they are all valid.

Heavyweight Champions I would rate Wardley above

Marvin Hart
Leon Spinks
Tony Tubbs
Francesco Damiani
Bruce Seldon
John Ruiz
Siarhei Liakhovich
Oleg Maskaev
Sultan Ibragimov
Samuel Peter
Bermane Stiverne
Charles Martin
Lucas Brown
Mahmoud Charr

Heavyweight Champions I would rate Wardley about equal to

Jess Willard
James J Braddock
John Tate
Trevor Berbeck
Henry Akinwande
Oliver McCall
Hasim Rahman
Corrie Sanders
Lamon Brewster
Nikolai Valuev
Deontay Wilder

He would beat the likes of Charr, Martin, Brown and Stirvwrne easily enough

Of the first list, I'd take Spinks, Tubbs, Damiani, Seldon, Ruiz, Maskaev, Ibragimov, Peter, Martin to beat him.

Charr, Browne, Stiverne, Liakhovich are pretty equal fights I would say. Perhaps those versions of those fighters actually beat him but I'm not sure. The ones above I would favour over him though. Hart, theres just no footage but we are going back 100 years.

Regarding the second list, I'd put all of those above him. A Corrie Sanders blasts him out in no uncertain terms, that was a poor addition to the list from yourself. Rahman should jab him up and KO him. McCall is too tough and will get him out of there. Valuev and Brewster I can see arguments for. Wilder lost almost every round when he was champ apart from the ones he KO'd or hurt guys in, probably similar to Wardley in that respect in terms of the Huni and Parker fights. I certainly thought Parker won almost every round and Huni certainly did. Wardley is extremely limited and should lose rounds against competent fighters.

I think Akinwande would beat him but he is mentally weak so Wardley might get to him and outman him. We know heart and will to win are big attributes.

You really have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to give Wardley the edge over fighters.

You've inluded some regular champs in there. Browne and Charr and others aren't world champions. Wardley would've smashed them to bits either way

Wardley beats Charles Martin every day of the week.

You made a silly claim. And I showed you to be wrong.

Stop crying.

You didn't prove anything. Wardley can't win a round against Huni or Parker apart from getting them out late with... what I view as lucky punches. He's incredibly overrated. The fact that you put him on par with a Corrie Sanders showed you up entirely I'm afraid. I'd actually take Brewster to run through him on second thought. He's absolutely awful. I doubt he'd even beat Joe Joyce.

Prime Joe Joyce that beat former champion Daniel Dubois? No shame in that

Sanders was a warrior, like Wardley. They both deserve respect (which you ain't giving).

Sanders had ONE really good result & a few bad ones.

There's also plenty of others I've named who you're conveniently ignoring.

I don't get this 'lucky punch' thing, they throw punches at each other all night then when one lands it's called a ' lucky punch ' ? If he's incredibly over rated then surely a seasoned ex champ on a good run of form like Parker would deal with him easily i'd have thought ?

All jokes aside, I think he'd beat any version of AJ. He'd be AJ's worst nightmare.

AJ has been ruined a bit, big shots from Ruiz and DDD have left him a bit gun-shy, despite a really good performance in Uysk 2, nothing worked.

Nevertheless at his peak he was a monster, huge puncher, a huge strong man, really showed his heart against Kilt when exhausted.

Almost killed the MMA guy

I really warm to Fabio. A very bright, articulate and thoughtful guy. Gracious. He has developed into a very fine fighter. Calm under pressure, big punching and tough as old boots.

A hard night's work for anyone.

Very personable guy on the mic. Still acts like he can't believe any of this is actually happening. Which to be fair neither can I.

Unless he's got the heart and stomach of a concrete elephant, however (which I definitely don't rule out), I think Dubois is going to stop him. It's one thing taking stick off Parker or Huni or Clarke, quite another standing up to the sort of fire DDD brings.

DDD can be chinny at times though, Wardley stops him for me, DDD has had his time

Parker has 10x the chin and heart that Dubois has though. That's why this fight is interesting.

That's true. Wardley definitely has the power to stop Dubois.

For me the difference is that against good opponents, Wardley has generally had to soak up punishment, come back and stop them late (apart from Clarke II). I don't think that's really an option against Dubois. But you may well be right, he could catch and hurt him.
