We are all gutted that Junior Witter and Ricky Hatton haven't got it on yet (still think they will before their end of their careers). However, what are the biggest potential domestic showdowns that should have happend but didn't.
Here are some of mine.
Paul Ingle vs Scott Harrison
Paul Ingle (1998) vs Steve Robinson (1998)
Michael Ayers vs Billy Schwer
Herol Graham vs Robin Reid
Hamed vs Oliver
Hamed vs Brodie
Brodie vs Oliver
Crawford Ashley vs Henry Wharton
Steve Collins vs Joe Calzaghe
Do you have any others - if so, discuss how you think the fight would have mapped out.

When both were unbeaten, Alexander v Farnell would have been a massive showdown.

I always liked the look of Billy Schwer against Canadian Billy Irwin for the Commonwealth crown. Could have been a classic.

Are you going to do "fight's that shouldn't have happened but did" thread as a sequal stu? I've already got cramp writing my list out, and I havn't even got past WBO title fights yet.

Hodkinson versus McMillan, circa 1993-ish.
Richard Williams versus Anthony Farnell versus Wayne Alexander versus Steve Wossisface, the Londoner ( ? ) who got beaten by Pestriaev.
As someone already noted, Crawford Ashley versus Henry Wharton would have been a sick fight. At light-heavy I'd favour Ashley to outbox Wharton, but at twelve stone Crawford would've gone for broke and got flattened.
God I feel old.

Alexis Arguello vs Salvador Sanchez
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if this fight had ever taken place I would say it would have been fight of the decade.
Such a shame Sanchez died so young, although he was already a legend at 23.
