How high should Fury go?

He was top 3-4 I think before he ‘retired’.. but since then, only Wardley has made a big jump up.

Dubois lost again since then too.

There’s a saying. “You’re only as good as your last fight.”

Makhmudov is Fury's only proper win since Chisora 3.5 years ago. He arguably lost against debutant Ngannou and then lost two times plus inactivity. For comparison, Vianello stopped Makhmudov and Wilder just beat Chisora too. Anything higher than that you're counting fights from way too long ago for 2026 rankings.

TKV is a decent enough scalp for Riakporhe. TKV was robbed against Adeleye and beat Clarke so beating him does enough for Riakporhe to get towards the top of the thin lower end of the rankings.

Clarke as a scalp in 2026 is probably not too different to Makhmudov. Both of them have only beat Allen of note recently so Huni is amongst the other two.

We should consider that Vianello did better against Makhmudov than Fury, and that Fury has been inactive and is just 1-2 in his past 3 fights. Although 2 UK judges scored every round for Fury, Makhmudov actually won at least 2 rounds. Fury was afraid to go for a KO yesterday, even though Makhmudov is easy to hit flush.

Similarly, the UK judges scoring in the Huni fight were not fair, he should have won a wide UD with scorecards of around 98-92.

Riakporhe was more impressive yesterday than Fury, and has won all three of his heavyweight fights by stoppage.

Everyone below them drops one place.

There's nothing to get excited about with any of those wins, but all three of them are decent fighters so lets get them ranked. They all had tune-up fights essentially. The real fights for all 3 will come in the latter half of the year, and then we can place them properly.

Fury scrapes the top 10 based on past achievements.

Will keep this open another 5 days.. Okolie is fighting next week.

Dag wished that someone continued the rankings, as he could no longer continue.

So I took it on.
