Towne was reputed to be a "policeman" for Sugar Ray Robinson. However, looking at his record, whom did he actually knock off for Robinson?

Most of the names on his record do not "ring a bell"
other then perhaps Yvon Durelle ?

Blackwood, Lytell, Brimm, Hairston were prominent guys but calling Towne "Robinson's policeman" doesn't make sense. Even worse is Gene Burton being billed as Ray's policeman.

Were they just his stablemates, and they were just kinda ordinary guys so they wanted to give themselves a little identity by saying they were Robinson's anything? That could be it.
