I have so far each week watched every episode and apart from it being incredibly cringy in a David Brent type way (especially the way Stallone joins in on the pads and happily gives out advice to the fighters, (think the Drago fight ruined him) added to the slow motion sound affects) I actually quite enjoy it.
But one major issue why do they all these fighter cry their eyes out every week, last night that Bonsante hadn't seen his kids for like 2 days and he was screaming his little eyes out when they turned up in the dressing room before hand. Is this just an over emotional american thing? Also that Brent Cooper balling like a girl after his fight, sh*t, imagine how he was the night when the american Peter Buckley (Reggie Strickland) turned him over twice.

It cant be just an american thing because it has me with a lump in my throat at the end of each episode

It is badly over dramatic and the sound effects make me laugh, but i cant see any other format appealing to non boxing fans really.
Is anyone else besides me being sad and avoiding the latest results from the US?

Nothing over-dramatic about the guy who went and topped himself. That was awful. he had a lovely wife and that little girl of his was... well, I've got a two-year-old and I'm sorry but I found it very sad after he lost and it wasn't until after the programme that I realised he was the one who committed suicide – made me feel really good that! Haven't been able to watch it since.

I felt the same, I was stunned by it. To be honest I never read the thread/articles relating to the show before - so I assumed that the guy who killed himself was someone who failed to get on the show.

Of course that wasnt over dramatic, that episode was very sad and i felt sorry for his family. But the fight scenes are dramatised and the music makes the show over dramatic i think in a rocky kind of way. Im not knocking it, but u cant help at laugh at some parts

I think they have got to edit the fights simply so that everyone can know the winner.
I am sure there might have been one or two controvesial decision - if they would have shown the fight unedited there might have been outrage and some kind of "fix" enquiry.
