Well we had Ceferino Garcia the Filipino Middleweight Champion. Zhilei Zhang has been a notable Heavyweight contender.

That's really the only ones that even come to mind for me.

Yeah, it was Cerferino's surname that threw me off.

Says here Koichi Wajima "wins the Middleweight title" but I think it was actually the 'junior or Light-Middleweight title
aka the "Super-welterweight title (?)

Chong Pal Park- super middleweight champion

In Chul Baek - also Super middleweight champion.

Chong Pal Park was a super middleweight champion at the inception of the division. He made 9 defenses before losing to Fulgencio Obelmeijas . Obelmeijas in turn lost to In Chul Baek. Baek also retired Park with a 9th rd ko in Parks last fight, to earn a shot at Obelmeijas.

Park had a controversial rivalry with Lindell Holmes in which Holmes was the victim of a hometown decision.

Baek on the other hand had a brief moment of prominence when he had previously fought Julian Jackson for the Jr. Middleweight title that had been vacated by Mike McCallum. Jackson blew away Baek in the 3rd in typical Jackson-destructive fashion.

Interestingly, Baek and Park had fairly impressive looking records with high KO percentages. Especially Baek who was 47-3-1 with 43 kosher. Although Baek beat Park, Park was at the end of his career and in all reality was the far more accomplished boxer, with 9 defenses against capable opponents like Vinnie Curto, Murray Sutherland a d the aforementioned Holmes. Baek, upon closer inspection fought the Korean equivalent of the Midwest clubfighter circuit in the US.

All in all 2 very unique and intriguing Korean fighters.

Ryota Murata was pretty good, especially in amateurs, remembering watching him at 2011 world and 2012 Olympics. BTW, at 2011 world championship, to get a silver medal, he fought SEVEN fights... dont know if something like that happen before
