Wasn't Mike Goodall an MC for Matchroom back in the Screensport days?

Yeah he was MC but also put up the ring before the show and took it down afterwards.

Long shifts he put in :)

There's a very good interview with Mike on Tris Dixon's Boxing Life Stories, well worth a listen.

Mike used to do the rings and the announcing for Brian Peters' Irish shows. I accidentally woke him up once when he was having a pre-fight snooze. Wasn't happy but tbf Mike is a decent chap beyond the barking and bluster.

Mike is the most miserable vnut i n boxing😜

But i wouldnt want him to change

Remember we had a conversation in
Scotland when i had been diagnosed with Parkinsons... we were both in tears.

I truly love him to bits
