The previously postponed fight between Nicky Cook and Dazzo Williams will finally take place at the Hereford leisure centre on the 16th June 2005, the fight will be shown on Sky Sports.

Cook who is 24-0 will defend his Commonwealth and European titles as well as trying to gain Williams' British title. Williams is currently 12-2.

It will be over seven months since Dazzo's controversial win over John Simpson at the same venue and Cook has been inactive since October after scoring a unanimous points win over Johnny Begue for the European title.

I was going to ask if anyone knew anything about this fight being made, looks like it is on.

Could be interesting although on the basis of their last two performance I have to tip Cook, just think he is little bit more polished.

Cook WPTS 12.

Nice to see it is on Sky Sports aswell.

Anyone no the promotional situation here - is it Barry Hearn, Jess Harding or do they actually sign that "alliance". Anyone know.

Nice to see some cracking domestic fights happening, this could be a cracker but I do favour Cook.

Hasn't this fight been on for a while? I remember Dazzo getting interviewd about it not long after the Simpson fight. Cook by 2 round margin.

Cook was injured and it was postponed.

I think Cook wins on a late stoppage. This will be pretty one sided, Williams is good at domestic level but Cook looks like he could go a lot further.

I'd go along with this, see it as a repeat of the recent Arthur v Docherty fight

Seems like I'm overrating Dazzo. True, he looked flat in that Simpson fight, but I think he'll be in this one more. I'm probably basing Cook too much on the Begue fight. I was impressed with him in that fight (contrary to nearly everyone else on the board) but for some reason he didn't strike me as something special... even though I was impressed by the performance. Doesn't make sense but that's the way it goes sometimes. 8)
