Him and Tyson started boxing at the same time at Steve Egan’s club, don’t know if he had amateur bouts there or not. But he’s never boxed pro.
Their other brother, Hughie, had a few pro fights when Tyson was still training with Peter under the name Young Fury.

Cheers. I wonder why he didn't pursue it but I guess it's not for everyone.

He seems a good bloke. Happy to bow to other people's wisdom if they know things that I don't.

He has a very good name on the am circuit amongst coaches and officials alike. Two of his sons are very good, but he takes their losses very well, too. More dads like him in the ams would be a great thing. He took a close loss on a home show for his son, who's a national champion, with grace.

Shane Fury jr won the four nations today in Scotland. His dad has been up there with him since Thursday hence missing the misfits circus. Solomon Dubois got gold as well with Dan and Stan in tow.
This is what gets forgotten about a lot of the well known names to people who only watch IFL or read ragebait articles, they're genuine boxing people and nothing like people think. At any amateur club show you will find big names just chilling, watching the boxing. Especially on their own clubs shows as it's not uncommon to see them so no big deal.
