Lamotta always had weight issues. Probably fought a number of fights dehydrated.

Mando Muniz told me he was never properly re-hydrated. He said there is an "art" to fighting dehydrated. He also said it didn't matter if his pre-fight meal was carb heavy or protein heavy, both had there advantages. Just a great man to talk with.

It was said to have been '104 degrees F ringside at the fight
at the end of the 10th round the referee went to SRR corner and asked "What's the matter ?"
SRR replied "I just want to go to sleep".
SRR claimed that was the last thing he remembered about being in that fight.
he lost 16 lbs.
