Just back from the press conference, Williams announced if he is beaten fairly by Skelton that it will be 'Goodbye Danny Williams'.

I always tip people to beat Skelton and he always wins and always looks really ugly doing it.

Fair enough, if he beats Williams, then DW has nowhere to go except perhaps fighting a lower grade of fighter like Mike Tyson

I suspect he DW just has too much for Skelton though

It's sometimes not a good sign when a fighter is talking about retirement before a tough fight.

I am still picking Skelton to win.

Suppose he couldn't quibble if it was a knock down. I'm just worried about Danny mentally. He says he's still confident after losing to Klitchko, but I'm not too sure. I'd like to see him win this one though.

The other big fight will feature Audley Harrison - 'big head'-to head clash.

Danny won't lose this one, Skelton comes at you and makes you fight, this will be to Danny's benefit, once he starts landing Skelton will fall apart.

Yep, I know Danny isn't the most positive fighter ever, but i just think he's got to much of everything for Skelton.

I'd like him to come in lighter than he did Against Klitshcko, i don't think the added weight does him any favours.

I just see him taking out Skelton in 3-4 rounds, as Skelton comes rushing in , Williams needs to get fast shots off.

I've nothing against Skelton and think he's done really well for himself, and i like him even more for throwing the WBU shite away and keeping the British title, but i just see Danny doing a number on him.

I personally think Skelton will knock Williams out and quicker than Klitschko did.

Skelton will be 'exposed' (though I don't know how you can say that when we already know his limitations) and probably TKO'd at some point in this short, vibrant career of is.

But I don't think it will be Danny Williams that does it.

I think the 'old' (yeah, right) Danny Williams will turn up for this one and lose accordingly. Maybe a stoppage, but I'm going for a clear Skelton points win in an ugly, ugly fight.

Danny throws a great short right and good uppercut, both shots to take out Skelton,

When i've watched Skelton and someone catches him , he seems to lose his head for a few seconds and goes into a macho thing trying to exchange punches, this will be his downfall, when Danny lands

I really dont think Williams is that good at all, this is a 50-50 fight. But I have a feeling Williams might fall apart when he cant discourage Skelton. I'll swing towards Skelton but not with any conviction. Williams' workrate just isnt that good although he may be able to outbox Skelton at times I doubt he can do it often enough to win most of the rounds, Skelton throws a lot of leather and Williams doesnt like a fast pace.

All down to how DW fights really... never going to be surprised by Skelton.

You'd have to expect Danny to pull it off.

Skelton's match is a better boxer who is strong enough not to be totally overwhelmed.

Bob Mivrovic gave Skelton a tough time before his arse gave out.

I've got a feeling that Danny will fight fire with fire to attempt to show he's a class apart. He'd have to give a particularly listless performance like the last Sprott fight for Danny to lose.

Respect to Skelton for challenging a tough opponent where a win won't even guarantee big doors will open.

I think Skelton will have too much heart for Williams. I see that in the initial bookmaker's prices Skelton is 1/2 favourtite with Willaims at odds against (Bet365). That price looks a bit short for Matt, I do see it as an even money fight in betting terms.

Can't say I'm surpised with what Williams has said, if he loses to Skelton fairly he has no where to go, retirement would be the best option then. Enjoy his earnings.

To be fair to Williams, the only time he has questioned a loss was vs Sprott - he never questioned the Francis one and that was pretty close.

I cannot see this fight lasting the distance, two big punchers. Skelton lookd like he might have the better chin, but Danny has the better punch.

I think Skelton will win because he more hungry. Even though Danny has better boxing skills I can see him freezing again like he did against Klitschko.

Would like to see either fight for the euro title after this one.

Williams didnt freeze against Klitschko. He got battered right from the first bell because he was too immobile to get out of the way as he was overweight.

If Williams comes into this fight in that sort of shape he is going to get his arse kicked.

Lets hope he loses some of that weight.

yes but he still could have thrown some punches. I think he needs to be around 18stone. Skelton is quite fit can fight for 12 rounds as shown against Sprott

As far as I saw every time he tried to throw he got clobbered. Whatever it was his effort was shabby to say the least.

I think they know they fucked up with the weight thing with all the comments that Williams doesnt eat that much from McDonnell yet Danny himself saying he's a junk food addict.

He got to lose the weight otherwise Skelton will get to him.

I would have liked to see Danny have a warm up fight before this one.
