Jason Moloney joins Zuffa Boxing
Former bantamweight titleholder Jason Moloney is looking to make the most of the final stretch of his career with a new promoter.
Moloney signed a multi-fight deal with Zuffa Boxing, it was announced Tuesday.
“I love what Zuffa is doing, giving the fans great fights every time and matching the best against the best. And that’s what I’m all about, fighting the best and becoming the best,” Moloney said in a statement.
“Mayhem” Moloney (29-4, 20 KOs) is a 35-year-old from Melbourne, Australia, and last fought in April, scoring a 10-round unanimous decision win against Andre Donovan.
Moloney was unsuccessful during his first two 118-pound title shots against Emmanuel Rodríguez in 2018 and Naoya Inoue in 2020 but won the vacant WBO bantamweight crown against Vincent Astrolabio in May 2023.
Moloney defended the title against Saul Sanchez in January 2024 before losing the belt to Yoshiki Takei four months later. Another defeat followed against Tenshin Nasukawa in February 2025, but Moloney has returned to the win column over his last two outings.
Moloney’s twin brother, Andrew, holds the IBF 115-pound crown.
