They're an all time great, they still win the fight, but it was a lot harder than expected.

I'll start us off with Evander Holyfield's fight with Bert Cooper. Bert was a replacement for a replacement, but still, Holyfield should have dominated him.

What examples can you think of?

Holmes with Mike Weaver
Lennox Lewis with Mavrovic
Floyd Mayweather with Castillo (both fights, especially the 1st)

There are lots of these for sure.
Pipino Cuevas - Randy Shields comes to mind.

Louis-Farr
Duran-Lampkin

Andre Ward had a pretty tough go of it with Sakio Bika. He clearly won don't get me wrong, but it was one of his tougher fights at 168.

Michael Spinks had a particularly tough go of it with Eddie Davis
