Pick your brains fellas , In sept my son his wife and his mam are arriving in dublin from Aust just for a short stay , now the flights and first night accomadation are booked , so thats ok , after that they intend to hire a car and travel for a few days around the place , all good

Now my question is this when they finish there tour , my wife flys to manchester , the son flys too London , wife will get panicky on her own so we really want him to virtually take her to the plane where she will be picked up at the other end by relatives , so question for you guys is should we book the dublin /manchester and dublin london flight here or are they easy to just rock up and buy a ticket daily , if its all easy there sort oif like catching a taxi , my advice is for them to just wing it then there not locked into dates and can spend what they want touring around ireland if its not easy maybee book here

Thoughts and advice please

I travel to Ireland quite a lot, generally fly Gatwick to Dublin.

I always book a ticket online first. Just jump on SkyScanner.

I have never tried buying a ticket at the airport because the airlines are rip off merchants. They strip you for every penny, particularly at late notice.

I can imagine they will charge you £75 a suitcase if you sort it at the airport. The flights often sell out as well.

My only other tip would be to pay the extra £15 to sit in the extra legroom seats. Luxury!

The prices will be way higher if they do it without a solid plan and don't buy the tickets in advance. Maybe that's worth it but probably not.

Basicly prices here for a set Dublin -- London and Dublin -- Manchester flight are around 300 dollars roughly 150 quid is it easy to grab a flight once your in dublin given once there for 4-7 nights they can sort of wing it has opposed too booking in advance be nothing worse than really enjoying yourself travelling winging it then have too cut it short to get a booked plane ,

Pretty sure you can get in without a passport from UK.

BTW Dublin is pretty expensive. Go prepared to spend a few Euros!

Legally you can, but none of the airlines (Ryanair, Aer Lingus)
let you fly with them without a passport now.
However you could get the ferry over, or perhaps some of the UK airlines let you fly to Belfast without a passport.
