Who do you think will be the next British World champion as recognised by the WBC, WBA, IBF or WBO. We currently have four champions Woods / Calzaghe / Nelson and Harrison. Do you think that figure will rise at all in within the years end? Or do you think there will just be a changing of the guard (i.e. Maccrinelli and Brodie obtaining WBO belts).

We hae a few going for shots in the next couple of months, a few more in the pipeline (allegedly) possibly within the years end. But can these guys win it. Who do you think will be the next world champion as recognised by the big 4.

Eastman would be the same paper champion as Woods is. Woods will lose the first fight vs a serious opponent and Eastman should fight vs Arthur Abraham...he will get killed.

Hatton is the one with world class niveau. Either he wins vs Tszyu or he will catch another world title in one of his next fight. he is britains best boxer and one of the best in europe.

BUBI YOU SHOULD AT LEAST HAVE SEEN THE FIGHT WHEN HE WON THE TITLE TO JUDGE WHETHER HE IS A PAPER CHAMP OR NOT MATE.

Cruiserweight WBO should remain British, whether it's still Nelson, or maybe Thomson, Haye or Enzo.

I'd be happy if Woods still has IBF by the end of the year, paper champ or not. Ditto Eastman, if Hopkins retires and Eastman gets a crack at one of the big 3, I think he deserves it.

Don't think Hatton will win to be honest, although I'd obviously like him to from a Brit point of view. If he loses though, could we see him finally going all out - nothing to lose, so fighting until he gets another shot at a velcro-free belt.

We've talked about Froch and oboh recently. Oboh's problem is getting a fight - at British level let alone world. Froch may well, but don't think by the end of the year.

Reid has a chance, but I think will lose. Magee may if he wins the EBU, but he's still to get past that hurdle.

The winner of Skelton?Williams is the one that puzzles me. Is there really anything in the winner getting a shot at the WBA? WBO even. A fight with Golota would be quite interesting. Not terribly pretty. Although, imagine Ruiz-Skelton. Con Dick would have to promote that on a 'how not to box' bill or something

c´mon, Hopkins wasn´t at his best, he didn´t do more as he needed and Eastman was so disappointing. The impresion was that Eastman just wanted his cheque and didn´t get hurt, over. i watched the fight twice. i am sure he would lose vs Abraham.

Regarding Woods we have different opinions. there are many better ones in light heavy. he just had luck regarding the ranking. o.k., he took hi chance. i am sure that all top europeans would beat him.

I thought Woods was great against Hoye. I think he could beat most european this weight. Excluding Tizzo and Erdei.

I think Robin Reid might beat lacy.

He's got a shot, I think Lacy will outwork him, but Reid could just catch him on the way in.

Yes but Reid will realise this is he last chance at the big time I think he will work harder. Also this is a big test for Lacy. I only saw his performance against sheika and he not the finished article yet.

I could honestly see Eastman not going all out again and losing if he fought Soliman, who seems to have come on a fair bit.

I'd love Brodie to be a champ before he packs it in, but I can't see it happening against Harisson.

Next world champ may well be Hatton. I don't see him beating Tszyu, but I can see him putting in a good performance, and getting a shot against one of the other champs early next year.

DM, Branco, Ulrich, Adamek, Aurino, Sahnoune, Michailenko and Drews would beat him, regarding the europeans.......

regarding Woods´ winning list it is the poorest of all champions of the last 20 years in this division.......

He beat Ulrich easily. barney should have beaten him also Drews. DM i think should retire now. I think Clinton might be to strong now. He would not have one against him in his prime.
Michailenko he would win against, also I think Branco.

not sure Eastman would beat soliman this time round.... anyway i reckon Soliman v Ikeke will be for the vacant IBF crown... although Sam has always said if he wins he wants eastman as first defence to avenge his only really loss he can (Kevin Kelly retired)

Woods doesn´t even have guys on his winning list who are as strong as the guys i listed. Woods hasn´t even a win over his countryman Barney......

He was former European champ. Got a draw and lost to Johnson on points much better level than ulrich.

Neither Skelton or Williams will win a genuine world title, thats a ridiculous notion.

I think Froch has a chance, the division is not brimming with great fighters if he gets a shot he has a very good chance against Kessler or Beyer in 2 or 3 fights time. Not sure about Lacy and Sicknote at this stage though.

Witter looks ready to take a belt if he can get the fights.

Ulrich got knocked out by Johnson though.. Woods lost two decisions IMO, both fairly close.

Branco was also winning fairly comfortably IMO before falling apart.....

Ulrich is currently no4 rated with IBF so a fight could happen in the future.

Woods #3 is a joke. he has won vs nobodies. he has no win over all the guys you mentioned in your top ten. isn´t that confusing?

Ulrich is over-all-skills the better boxer and only has a mental problem. Ulrich can beat anybody and can lose vs anybody. but skillwise Woods doesn´t have a chance.

not everyone can fight everyone though.. its not as simple as a football league.....

Woods beat solid euro champs Klemensen, Ashley and Davis which is arguably more of an achievement than anyone below him... add to that the draw with current number 1 Johnson and i feel only Erdei and Tiozzo deserve a higher rank....

it is however like any rankings subjective....

Woods showed a lot of heart and determination to win a world title.
I think a lot of people are not giving him credit.

I would like to see him fight Ulrich as I think it will be an easy defence imo.

The division is pretty weak now so i suppose it follows.

In terms of achievement Tiozzo is no1 by quite a distance IMO. I accept Erdei at 2 but he has plenty left to prove I didn't think he was impressive last time out. I think woods is OK at 3 at least he's been in with Jones and Johnson and Hoye was a great performance. While everyone might feel Hoye has been exposed now, remember going in big things were expected form him.
