Decent slugfest for a few rounds. Corrales is able to get to Valero first more frequently with his long jab, and knocks him out with those big hooks.

I feel like it might resemble Corrales vs Freitas.

Maybe, but i doubt Valero would've gotten off to as good a start as Freitas did.

It's possible. Though, that's always the question with Valero - we'll never know his true potential and his celling.
But either way, Corrales's run from March 2004 to May 2005 was somewhat underrated. He had a solid streak.
