It's always interesting when a politician changes their view. Could it be that they simply changed their minds or that the issue itself changed? sure either is possible.

But it also seems much more likely it's when they changed them because they see the political winds blowing.

A few days something interesting happened in a Senate race in red-State Iowa. Republican Congressman woman Ashley Hinson (now in the House of Representatives) has been in a surpassingly close race with Democtat Josh Turek. Hinson supports Trump virtually 100% of the time.

A recent poll came out and Turek was now up 8 points!
Within hours, Hinson changed her mind and is now against the extremely unpopular Iran War which she has been supporting since the beginning. She voted to support the War 6 times, including just the week before!

In these situations, does this really fool undecided voters?

This seems to be a case of putting your finger out and seeing which way the wind is blowing. How did she vote? I think there was a senate vote on Iran yesterday or the dy before.

I thought you were talking about a politician who changes their views over decades. A couple of those examples come to mind. Zell Miller went from moderate to far Right. Rehnquist went from far Right to mod right. John Kasich far Right to mod Left. AOC is already being accused of selling out.
