Fighters below Heavyweight who never changed weight classes

I would imagine this sorta thing was more common when there was less weight classes but even then not a lot of fighters come to mind who solely fought in 1 weight class.
Micky Ward at 140 and Marvin Hagler at 160 are some of the few that stand out in my mind. I'm sure there are many others right?

Cuevas fought Aquino at 160.
Zamora came in a couple times over the bantamweight limit.
It’s a good topic. Not as many come to mind.
Palamino fought his whole career at welterweight it looks like.

Weren't Calzaghe's last few bouts at Light Heavyweight? The Hopkins and Jones fights?

Yeah it really seems a lot more rare than you'd think.

For sure. We know how guys bounce around trying to accumulate belts in the modern era.
And back in the day, guys would try to step into divisions that were more lucrative like middle, heavy, lightweight, when their natural weight may not be ideal there. They bounce around also.

Gene Fullmer maybe.
I mentioned that Zamora came in over the bantamweight limit. Fullmer did at middleweight also.
The weights are contractually agreed upon if they allow a couple pounds over for each fighter. Not title fights of course.
The question is , how many fighters have never fought over the weight limit in those types of fights?
For example, did Hagler ever come in over 160?

Yes that's true as well. I've seen many guys on the way up who maybe were fighting as Lightweights and it was presented on TV as a Lightweight bout but both guys weighed in at 137 or 138 or what have you.
As you say this kinda thing is fairly common in non title bouts where the agreed upon weights can be more flexible.

Hagler had a few fights in which he and his opponent were over 160.

I suppose it depends how you define it, but I wouldn’t class having a few overweight non title fights as changing weight division.

This may or may not count, but Jimmy Wilde never grew out of the flyweights. He was supposed to fight Pete Herman for the bantamweight title, but by the time came for the fight, Herman had already dropped the championship. Technically, it could be argued that he had a fight in another weight class, but Wilde was under 112 for that one.

That's a good point. Guess it depends on what people consider "back in the day"

but as "recently" as Michael Spinks and Michael Moorer completely skipped the cruiserweight division.
The really good fighters would routinely skip over the "non-traditional' weight classes. And of course, if you go way back, those weight classes didn't exist. For example, when Jake LaMotta fought, there was no Super Middleweight division. He never went for the Light heavyweight title. But he often had non-title fights when he was several pounds over the middleweight limit.
