I'm trying to drum up support to see this one happen!!!!
I'm sick of un-competetive bouts, with obvious outcomes. Although I am quite sure of the outcome of this scrap, I still think it would be a cracker!!

Yep, agree. I would like to see Dann tested - so far his two defences haven't been against the best Britain has to offer. Lockett is a bit higher ranked so why not.

I do think there are one or two more worthy candidates than Lockett, but it is a good match for both of them. One question though, when is the last time Lockett fought - it feels like an age ago, he might be a bit rusty.

He hasn't boxed since September, Warren has left on a back burner since his loss to Tsarenko. I think Lockett has the power, and the edge in experience to beat Dann, but nobody wants to fight Gary as he is so dangerous. Ring rust is a worry tho!!!

They sparred together a few years back, and Gary assures me Dann would not be a problem.

Who else is more worthy than Gary for a title shot??

It would be a good fight, be interesting to see what happens if it goes to purse bids.

Dann is full of confidence and although it seems longer Lockett fought in Septermber and fought three times in 2004.

I think the dynamite in Dann's left would be too much for Lockett

I would say Wayne Elcock is more worthy as is Richard Williams. Okay, Elcock lost to Lawrence Murphy but he has come back well and the only time Lockett has impressed since his defeat was vs Monaghan in the rematch, and as Lockett insunated fighting someone with 10 defeats isn't great preperation for a British title fight. I would say Elcock's win vs Rhodes is as good as Lockett's vs Monaghan.

If Richard Williams sticks around at Middleweight then he is the more worthy due to his past achievements.

They cannot ignore him forever, and when he is given a chance, unless he's totally dissillusioned with the sport, he'll demolish who-ever they give him.

I agree with that, if he would have had those fighters then he would be more worthy than Elcock.

I don't think Monterio is eligable for the British title, but yes that would have been a good fight.

what has Lockett done in the last two years, not alot, don't get me wrong i like Lockett he's got fast hands & he can bang, his big problem is he marks up and cant handle people who box him, and if you've got boxers like Dann & Elcock in the ring unless Lockett blows them away in a round you have to them a major advantage, I think Lockett always looks heavy, Other boxers like Dann & Elcock only walk around a stone or so above there fighting weight, when he pulled out last year vs Elcock he looked massive when he sat ringside.

I think Dann v Lockett would be a lot more competitive than Dann v Elcock. Elcock doesnt have the chin to stand up to Dann's shots.

Scott made eastman touch down even if it wasnt counted, and we know how good howards chin is.

Seriously chaps Ive been saying for osme time Scott is the best kept secret in british boxing. I can see him going to euro level comfortably as a southpaw with real power he is going to give anyone problems.


seriously watch this space, guy is at least a euro-champ in the making maybe more.

I think Dann beats either. Whatever Lockett's shortcomings he can hold a punch, that Russian absolutely pummeled him. Elcock on the other hand was sparked clean out by a novice.

Lockett would go a few rounds I think, probably get stopped late. Elcock would be flat out inside 6 minutes (if not 3).

Look at the records, Gary boxed Hussain Osman 4 years ago and banged him out (and I mean OUT!) in 2 (quicker than Eastman did the job!). Dann had to settle for points over 8, just over a year and a half ago. Again I mention the Kevin Kelly result, which retired a genuine world class operator. The only good fighter Dann has boxed beat him.
I mean for a 9 fight novice like Andy Hadler to get a title shot wtf???

there no need to make too much noise, just chat to Jamie Saniger who posts on here, Im sure he will read this anyway and take opinions into account.

as we all know there is much more to it than just saying such and such should fight so and so. Which is a shame cos boxing would be in a better state but thats the truth.

Imaging your boy beating Lockett?? That would do alot for his name, you've only to see the results of the poll that most people think he would triumph. Make the fight happen!!

Great to see the demand growing for Dann v lockett. I've held the view for yonks that this would a great fight and a great night for British boxing.

Believe me, the Sanigars are not running scared from anyone on the British scene, and presumably neither is Dann. The proofs in the pudding...Dann stepped up to the plate and took on Eastman when seemingly almost every other middleweight in Britain had other plans.
