At the moment what dose everyone think the three best weight devisions in terms of strength depth and up and comming fighters are.

For me it is
Light Welter
Super Middle

Middleweight is starting to pick up a bit now aswell

SM? it's improving for sure, but the best division, no way.

Lightweight, Jr Welter, Sr featherweight. welterweight could soon be right up there if Mosley, tszyu, judah, Margarito and DLH are all in the same division, which they may very well soon be.

Have to go with the rest here. Light welter followed by welter and super feather.

Alot will depend on the futures of Winky Wright (post tito) and DLH but Middleweight has the potential to be the best.

Hopkins, Tito, Winky, DLH, Sturm, Taylor, Ikeke, Eastman, Vargas, Joppy, Abraham, Soliman, Echols and possibly fighters like Keith Holmes (might move back up now) and Richard Williams (albeit at a slightly lower level) - that is a tremendous stack of fighters.

The Light Welterweight devision is exeptional in the top 7-8 with Cotto, Tszyu, Mayweather, Harris, Gatti, Hatton, Witter and Mitchell but then it really fades - there was some complaints about Leija getting a title shot but it was really deserved because outside of the fellow champions he was worthy.

I think the Welterweight devision is looking fun aswell - there certainly seems to be two teir of champions/contendors we have Judah, Spinks, Margarito and Mosley in teir 1 and we have the likes of Collazo, the two Rivera's, Baldomir, Damgarrd, Cintron in the second tier in which geniune belts are also contests - it provides some more excitement domestically because I think the likes of Magee, Khaliq and possibly Barnes can easily compete in tier two.

Stu, I agree with most of that. I have doubts about Barnes, mind you, as I'm sure we all do, after his last showing. I do think Magee can mix it with most people, without a doubt. He may not win, but Eamonn is never going to be an easy night for anyone, if you ask me. (example: Plenty of people stateside have called Hatton chinny because Eamonn put him down. Don't see anyone calling Urkal chinny, despite Magee dropping him. Just a personal point of view.)

But, back to the point I wanted to make: Where the hell is Khaliq? Does anyone know? When I first saw him, I couldn't see him making any inpact on the world stage. But his wins look better with every month, tbh. Where is he? Surely there's money in a fight against Barnes? (A very winnable one as well, you'd have to say, given Barnes' last outing....)

Incidentally, on the world stage, I look forward to 'Super' Zab's fight aginst Cosme Rivera. Judah might be undisputed, but I still think he's an accident waiting to happen. I don't think Rivera has the tools to do it, mind you, but I can see him showing up some flaws. Margarito-Judah would be a cracking fight.

I think the light welters are great, lots to pick from at the top.

I am not worried by people's spelling that much and think what they write has more influence on their credibility, but maybe I am just strange.

World - L.Welter, S.Feather, Light

Domestic - Cruiser, Light, Middle. Lots of class at S.middle, too, but I just can't see them fighting each other anytime soon.

Ever thought some people arent lucky enough to be blessed with something we consider normal and have difficulties with such things (im not implying josh has but some folk do.)

Unlike you of course with your 16 posts who are held in the highest regard....this isn't a spelling competition, it's a boxing forum.

I don't bother with spelling or post counts in general. Spelling could be put down to just dyslexia, which loads of people have, whereas the mods aren't alogether that strict here, so people can have way inflated post counts that - when you check them - don't really have that much in the way of boxing.
It's quality (or sense) that's the main thing for me... so even if Josh is sometimes a little hard to read, I already know it's going to be about a Hennessy/BBC fighter, and can usually grasp the jist of what he's saying without relying on exact words.

I know! Who gives a fornicate about peoples spelling? And before anyone points it out, I know only 15 of my total posts have been about boxing!

I'm probably the typo king here but for me, alot of my posts are fairly rushed cause most times I am on the computer is to do work.

I got pulled up for it once, and that was an error on my part as he was spelling "fought" wrong continually, but peoples spelling and grammar here is generally good and as already noted such errors could be down to typos (which is generally my undoing) due to being a little rushed or things like dyslexia.

Its the opinions that count and aslong as I can understand it then its fine.

Super Flyweights got incredible depth. M.Castillo, Munoz, Kawashima, Tokuyama, Montiel, Morel, I.Hernandez, Too Sharp Johnson and I am probably forgetting a few.

No real depth, but a mix of bigish names at the moment makes it interesting.

Light welter and welter are pretty hot and the ligthweight divison is underrated - castillo, corales, the diazs', casamayor,elder and Kid Diamond(who is fighting casamayor soon) looks like one to watch. Lefthook - i know what ur sayin bout superfly but the annoying thing about the the lower weight classes is that they arent v.popular so there wont be enough cash generated for unification matches so not of the names u've mentioned will fight each other. The best division is the one you like.

The classes with good action at the moment are 200, 175, 160, 147, 140 and 130.

It would be nice to see some cross division match ups, perhaps at a catch up weight, like cruiser champ vs lt-hv, 140 and 130, 160 and 168 or even 160 and 175.

I think the heavyweight division has some interesting matchups to offer, not much depth, but some good fights.

Yeah, LH maybe hasn't the depth or proven youngsters, but it's got one huge mother of an ending to give us with Tarver, Woods, and maybe Jones jnr. And excellent for Britain if Woods can get involved somewhere with these three.
