I am looking for stuff on Jimmy. He was a top lightweight then welterweight in the 70's. I have looked at his record I know he fought Duran, Rocche, and Carmona. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything interesting about him. I was also trying to find out how highly he was ranked.

Re: info on Jimmy Heair (sp?)...I can recall seeing him box at the Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles some 30 years ago. His record was something like 104-4 and something. I remember that he had never been ko'd at that point and he wonn in the 4th or 5th that night. He fought a Mexican opponent, local and fairly popular, notorious for his rough tatics especially using his laces and he cut Jimmy up early. I, too, would be most interested to find out what happened through the rest of his career and since.

Have you checked his record on this site? I had no idea he had had over 120 pro fights; 96-32 or something like that.
