As you know I took on your offer of a bet that Hatton would fight Tszyu this year for £500. As the date of their scheduled fight approaches, we are now also in the zone where a pullout would happen.

While both of us can still win or lose this bet I propose we can put the wager money in escrow right now with a trusted third party to avoid any suggestion that either of us might do a runner.

should he dissapear then re-appear i think he should be hounded off the site. By this I mean

1. in the event the fight goes ahead then shows up months later or through a different name perhaps the mods can keep an eye out for this.

2. only shows up should the fight cancel after months of not posting.

both would be equally shitty things to do.

so come on lirva you were willing to shout your mouth off, please back it up.

Lirva's got to be feeling apprehensive now - 500 quid!!!!!

Particularly with news of Tszyu coming over to Manchester next week.

That's interesting, drove down to the Reebok before and it doesn't take that long. Can anyone confirm this is where he'll be, and if he'll be doing any open workouts?

Did anyone actually think he wouldn't do a runner? He must wake up and check the teletext each morning praying for the news he wants so he can come back on here.

Well he hasn't posted for nearly a month. What's the betting were Hatton to pull out now Lirva would suddenly reappear having been called away on urgent business.

Well guys its been a week now since I posted this message and sent a PM to Lirva33 and guess what - deafening silence.

I like to think the best of people but, given he has not appeared on here for a month now, it looks as though he has just done a runner.

I know a lot of people didn't like him and he was pretty annoying with his ill-informed Hatton slagging but I thought he had a bit more than this - especially after the big show he made of issuing the challenge to bet, posting some semi-legal agreement about it and promising that whatever the result he would meet, take pictures for the board etc. With his annoying chant that I was going to get "owned", I didnt think my respect for him could have got lower but I think it just has.

Oh well, just as well I wasnt counting the 500 to change my life or that I am not the sort to go round breaking knees over unpaid bets. Not knees anyway....

Dont jump the gun there could be a legit reason he hasnt posted.

Still 3 weeks til the fight so no need for panic just yet.
