Guinn - i thought he was being touted as a good heavyweight prospect and then within the last year he picks up 2 defeats & a draw.

Vanderpool - Was shouting his mouth off trying to get everyone in the ring to fight him and from what ive heard hes a decent boxer then bang gets ko'd twice within a year

Talk about going off track, looks like these 2 have been de-railed

Yeah, shocked about the Vanderpol setback especially. He was beating Lacy (fairly comfortably, IMO) untill he got tagged. I do believe, although perhaps I'm wrong, that this latest setback was back at Middle. He looked to be a big Super Middleweight vs Lacy so perhaps it was a mistake him losing the weight.

I thought he might have fought at light heavy in his last fight, the reason being is that he his in the light heavy rankings down at number 33 or something like that.

They went way over the top with Guinn. Good former amateur who decapitated a shell-shocked Michael Grant... Thing is, during that fight, his corner were constantly having to try and light a fire under his butt. Decent fighter but no-way near a top-level fighter with championship potential IMO.

Vanderpool made lots of noise about being ducked by Calzaghe and fair enough, looked pretty good against Lacy but then got taken out... he's got to work his way back but I think Lacy well and truly burst his bubble and I'm not sure about his recent setback but it doesn't bode well.

Guin is is a symptom of the overhyping of HW's that has been prevalent for the last 13 years or so.

It began with Riddick Bowe in 1992, who was going to domaniate the HW for the next 10 years! He spent more time in KFC than the gym & was shot by 1996!

Shannon Briggs was next up, he was going to take the division by the scruff of the neck, but he was simply rubbish!

Enter David Tua; he cannot box to save his pet goldfish's life, unless you call throwing endless Left hooks & little else, boxing!

Michael Grant was then the next big thing! He couldn't hold a pint at a German beer festival, yet alone a punch!!!

Now we have Guinn, who is overrated!! What price Samuel Peter being an overrated bum?????

Each of these guys have kinda gone down the pan in similar ways. As soon as Bowe, Briggs and Guinn became well known money rolled in and their enthusiasm for the sport waned and as Bowe and Briggs were found out they quietly moved away from the sport only to return again.

As I am an avid Tua fan I (an even the dog on the street) know he can be outboxed but the fact still remains he is the biggest under-achieving Heavy around. They couldnt really have picked more awkward guys for Tua to have his title shots against in a prime Byrd and Lewis. His wins over Maskaev KO11, Moorer KO1, Ruiz KO1, Rahman KO10 and Oquendo KO9 cannot merely be described as hype as each of those guys went onto do something in the division. Now hopefully as he has got rid of the leechers that were around him he can go on to have some more exciting fights in the future

Apprently, Vaderpool's corner were telling him to keep on boxing, but Vanderpool got it in his head that he was going to stop Lacy, and that's where it all went wrong. Apparently now his heart isn't in it any more and he's slacked off in training.

Guinn looked impressive when he beat Michael Grant but the times I've seen him since he seriously looked as if he wasn't prepared to fight at anything over third gear. Add to that his recent results and it would appear he is going nowhere. Vanderpool, on the other hand, always came to fight, but I read he was quite badly hurt when he got stopped recently, so I think the dream's over for now.

Why is the heavyweight devision so sh-t mesi was seen as up there in the next generation too... and ug harrison.
