EU ratings:
EBU: Sinitsin
Chall: Djibaba
1: Nagy (Ineligable IBC)
2: Arthur
3: Gomez
4: Docherty
5: Burns
6: Di Meco
7: Conway
8: Oubaali
9: Fiorletta
10: Palomo
11: Bento
12: Ferrans
13: Mitchell
14: Lopez

Djibaba is rated between Burns & Di Meco in the EBU ratings so it means that the top 5 have turned down the fight.

Fair enough I suppose, but still not exactly brilliant for Limmond. Ok, an easy defence and ranking points, but he won't be learning much. Saying that, I'm not a great Limmond fan. Nothing against him personally, but I just see him as a leg-up opponent for either Docherty or Burns. Bit too soon for both though, Burns in general at this point of his career, and Docherty too soon after the loss to Arthur.

News by Per Aake Persson:
There were no bidders yesterday at the EBU office in Rome for the Abdel Jebahi v Michele Delli Paoli EU 135 lb fight. A new date has been set for May 26. It´s same situation with Willie Limond v Youssef Djibaba for the EU 130 lb title where no-one has turned in an offer at the two purse bids.

Spaniard Ruben Varon have vacated the EU 154 lb title which will now be contested between Czech Lukas Konecny and Brit Richard Williams. Final date for purse bids or agreement is June 21.

Team Palle´s June 17 show in Aarhus topped by Hamlet Petrosian v Reda Zam Zam for the WBA I/C jr middle title will also feature Thomas Damgaard, Rudy Markussen, Spend Abazi, Martin Kristjansen, Johny Jensen, Anita Christensen and Frida Wallberg.

EBU 118 lb champ Simone Maludrottu will now take on Belgian Hassan Naji May 27 in Cagliari. Naji was originally supposed to have defended the title against Vadim Metelev.
Italian jr middle Luca Messi takes on Estonian Leonti Voronchuk July 8 in Bergamo.

Supermiddle Mger Mkrtchyan stopped Brazilian Eduardo Franca in the sixth May 19 at the Konti Kasino in St Petersburg, Russia. Denis Inkin tko´d Tanzanian Maneno Filipo Oswald in the third in another 168 lb fight.

I thought it was a very good fight on paper originally (Limond vs Djibaba) having seen the Djibaba vs Djelti fight I gave the Frechman a real chance vs Limond.

However, it was soon apparent that Djelti didn't really train for Djibaba at all and looked much better in his losing fight with Sinistin. The comprehensive manner of the the first fight I don't think it should be done again.

However, looking at the European ratings (which surely need updating by the EBU - Conway will never make Super Feather again) cannot think of that many viable challengers who would be available and wanting to fight for this title.
