What the hell happened with Matthew Macklin? Sky did that profile on him and were building him up, then he looses on Fight Skool and we hardly see him again. So much for 'building prospects' or whatever mantra Fight Skool supposedly worked from. Or does Macklin lack discipline in training or something?

SKY only seem to favour fighters with unbeaten records (regardless how padded) or ones that hold a fake title. Guys with losses are like lepers, whereas most are better fighters and provide better matchups anyway. Look at Castillo, the guy has 7 losses but has come through the hard way, a loss isn't the end of the world, SKY should stick with guys like Macklin.

Exactly. Macklin loses a close fight to a tricky fighter that is up for it and is abandoned. What has boxing fallen too?

It looks an awkward customer for Dunne. Voronin looked confident at the weigh-in and could be dangerous. Hopefully Dunne can start fast this time and do a job on him because over here in Ireland they are talking about a possible fight for the European crown with your own Nicky Cook

Dunne won on points over ten rounds 96 - 94
It was a good fight with plenty of action throughout. Dunne looked ok but he looked a bit over-eager at times and neglected his boxing at times to load up but never seemed to have the power to really hurt the tough Voranin. Bernard got cut on the bridge of the nose and a nasty cut above his left eye. Dunne looks to be a good body puncher but he leaves himself open a lot which could hinder him as he progresses and he paid for it as he got really nailed in the last round and he looked out on his feet after Voranin caught him with a flurry on the ropes but Dunne came back to drill him with his own right which had them both swinging in the last minutein a grandstand finish

How did Melville do... very talented boxer... but hasnt fought for a long time... since his 24 hour notice against Nigel Wright

Didn't see the fight tonight, but from what i have seen of Dunne so far (mostly on ESPN) the kid doesn't look like he is going anywhere particuarly special.
